Beat the Heat with a Refreshing Honey Iced Tea

Beat the Heat with a Refreshing Honey Iced Tea

  • 4 cups water

  • 4 tea bags (black tea or your preferred variety)

  • 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)

  • Ice cubes

  • Lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes to achieve the desired strength.

  3. Remove the tea bags and discard them.

  4. Stir in the honey into the hot tea until it is fully dissolved. You can adjust the amount of honey based on your preference for sweetness.

  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. You can speed up the cooling process by placing the saucepan in an ice bath or transferring the tea to a pitcher and refrigerating it for a short while.

  6. Once the tea has cooled, fill glasses with ice cubes.

  7. Pour the tea over the ice, dividing it equally among the glasses.

  8. Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.

  9. Stir gently and serve your refreshing Honey Iced Tea immediately.

Feel free to adjust the sweetness or add additional flavours like fresh lemon juice or a splash of fruit juice to customize your iced tea. It's a delightful way to stay cool during hot summer days. Enjoy!
